There is a teaching that I did years ago called The Pre-Adamite Age. It deals with the time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. There are perhaps millions of years between these 2 verses. We know scientifically the earth is older than 6000 years. The time before the creation of the earth as mentioned in Genesis 1:2 is known as the Pre-Adamite Age. So many have questions as to when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. Where did demons and the giants come from? This teaching gets into those questions.
Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
So what happened by verse 2 to for what He created to be without form and void? In this teaching we get into the details of what I believe Scripture tells us happened. Now we know from understanding the nature and character of God that when He creates, it is always good.
James 1:17 states Every good and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.
There was a Heavenly War that took place prior to Genesis 1:2.
Isaiah 14:12-17 How you have fallen from heaven, You star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who defeated the nations! 13 But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ 15 Nevertheless you will be brought down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit. 16 Those who see you will stare at you, They will closely examine you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, 17 Who made the world like a wilderness And overthrew its cities,Who did not allow his prisoners to go home?’
Here we see mention of one who has fallen from heaven who desired to be like the Most High. We know this is speaking of Lucifer. The special this month will explore that further. What happened? Why did it happen? How does all of that even matter now? Well, it does matter. We are seeing the culmination of the war that started so long ago. I believe Satan’s hatred of humanity is because we are indeed made in the image of God. He, a created being, was not. He desired to be like the Most High. He looks at you and me and sees we not only look like our Creator but have the creative abilities of our Creator. We have the freedom of choice; he didn’t. That is why there is no redemption for Lucifer (Satan). He did not have the right to rebel against Father God. He has been inciting that same rebellion in God’s prized creation ever since. He has been confusing people with their true identity ever since. He is doing again that which he did before in the days of Noah. So, yes…the war that began long ago is still affecting humanity today. Will things get worse as this war of wars comes to its pinnacle moment? Just how bad will things get? The “How Bad Will Things Get” series refers to the conditions on Earth in the last days. To properly discern the last days we must consider what Jesus said in Luke 17:26-27 and just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the son of man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah enter into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
We will be focusing on the conditions that took place in Noah’s day as it relates to Genesis chapter six when the sons of God (fallen angels) took the daughters of men and produced a hybrid offspring called the Nephilim or what we call giants. Every civilization on earth has historical accounts of these giants produced by fallen angels and daughters of men. I’ll be teaching about the threat these giants posed on humanity and why God decided to destroy all those living on planet Earth except Noah, his wife, and his children. We will be comparing the moral atmosphere back then and what we see happening today. This will be an interesting study and will help us prepare for our role in these end times and how we can better bring forth the glory of God.
