Though it has many names...the new birth, being born again, salvation, or getting saved...it all comes down to one thing...ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS LORD.  

The Bible tells us in  2 Cor 5:20-21
     Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we    
     beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on 
     our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.    

     If we need to be reconciled to God, that means at some point we have been estranged or separated from Him.  Jesus corrected this separation.  Being reconciled back to Father God is so simple.

The Bible tells us in Rom 10:8-13
     But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART" -  
    that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus  
    as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 
    for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he 
    confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL 
    NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same 
    Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all  who call on Him; 13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL 
   ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." 

So let me ask you  3 questions
          1.  Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God?
          2.  Do you believe He came to the earth, emptied Himself of divine privilege and died on a  
               cross for the sin of mankind?
          3. Do you believe He rose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of Father God in 
              heaven?

     If you answered “YES” to these questions, you qualify under Romans 10:8-10 for salvation…just  say this prayer and formally invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior….remember you have to confess this with your mouth...a "silent" prayer does not qualify...so say it out loud and have full confidence you will spend eternity with Him.

Prayer for Salvation ~ New Birth:

    Father God, I do believe that Jesus is Your Son and that He died not only for my sin, but for the sin of mankind.  I believe He was crucified, buried and raised from the dead.  I believe He ascended into Heaven and ever lives to be My High Priest.  I receive Him now as my Lord and Saviour and from this day forward I am Born Again.  I thank You that I now have eternal life in Jesus name I pray.
